Yorkies or Yorkshire terriers are amazing pets and easily recognize due to their small stature. Yorkies was first bred to hunt rats and mice, has now become a loyal and fashionable pet. It has a high energy which is perfect for playing with kids. Owners must keep a close eye in raising a Yorkie due to their small sizes, they can get injured easily. Vaccination. Even though your pet does not go outside the house, they must still get vaccinated. A Yorkie is prone to various diseases especially when they are still a puppy. Males that have been spayed or neutered will have a low risk of getting uterine or prostate cancers. This can also give them a longer lifespan.

Like some breeds, Yorkies are at risk in getting fractured and concussions due to their small sizes. They can easily get bone fractures from falling, being stepped on, or jumping from a furniture. They should be handled with care to ensure they does not get bone issues.

Yorkies are not easy to raise. It requires special attention and caring just to get them mature. But with proper knowledge and research, pet owners can enjoy and live with Yorkies as their companions.

Individuals must be financially secured when they have a pet. Almost each month the dog will need vaccination or treatment. Therefore, by having enough money, they can keep their pets healthy and sick free.
