Truck Wraps & Coca-Cola's New Campaign

By Rob Sutter

There are many reliable methods to consider in the way of marketing and I have to believe that truck wraps will be able to stand out as well. These wraps have proven themselves in the past, which is reason enough for them to be utilized on a consistent basis. Of course, marketing has expanded and several other methods have been put to use as well, social media included. Coca-Cola, for example, has been able to put this to use, forming a campaign that is hard to ignore.

According to the Drum, Coca-Cola put together a recent campaign that went by the name of #ReasonsToBelieve. The company said that it was done in order to allow others to "believe in a better world" and the structure of said campaign has gone to show this. One particular TV commercial that Coca-Cola put forth joined both negative and positive messages, urging the public to focus more on the latter than the former. With a vehicle as powerful as Coca-Cola, I have to believe that this campaign has strong legs to stand on.

In addition to looking at all of the good in the world, the ad also instructed others to engage in acts of kindness. It doesn't matter how big or small such acts seem to be; from what I have seen, even the most minute of actions can prove to be impactful to someone's life. After these are done, Coca-Cola told others to share these on social media. With the #ReasonsToBelievehashtag put into place, it is clear that something like this has the potential to reach out to many people.

Companies such as JMR Graphics, in my opinion, can look at this campaign and see all of the good that it can do. Keep in mind that marketing can be done in a number of ways, ranging from social media activity on Twitter to truck wraps that anyone in a public setting can view. Coca-Cola's ad is effective for a number of reasons, amongst them being the promotion of conducting good deeds. Throw in the idea of social media being implemented as a platform and the message is made even stronger.

Anyone who frequents the Internet can tell you that there are so many negative stories out there and very little focus is brought on what's positive. The latter is what has to be changed and I think that Coca-Cola's actions have been able to make the good in life stand out that much more. If the good deeds you go about are what may be seen as smaller, they should not matter. To me, those very actions can serve to make anyone's day that much better.
