As Network Marketers we are often told that it is important to brand YOURSELF as a leader and to position YOURSELF as an expert, but what does that actually mean? How can newbies in the industry position themselves as an expert without coming across as being false?
I hate to be the one to break it to you but if you are not willing to invest in your business then you are setting yourself up for failure! You may need to buy training courses to learn Internet Marketing strategies, in the same way that I did and you will probably also need to pay for some form of advertising and promotion. That is the nature of any business and Network Marketing is no different!
The good news is that there is one factor that makes your business and your offerings completely unique. There is one thing that no one else can possibly offer and that is YOU! Your experiences, your knowledge, your personality and character are completely unique to you. Believe it or not, that is what people are more interested in, not your amazing compensation plan or award winning products! People who choose to follow you do so because they are interested in you and what you have to say and what you have to offer.
Let's assume that you are currently making a monthly profit of $300. You could take that money from your business account and have a few nice meals out or hit the bars! You will probably make the same profit next month, but you will be unlikely to make any more on top of that.
You can't force people to follow you, because they have to make a conscious choice! That is the beauty of the Internet because you can share your message with more people and give them the choice to follow you.
