You Would Like Traffic To Your Site? Stop All The B.S.

By Evelyn Myers

Increasing website, traffic is straightforward

They are going to come if you develop it

Blah, blah, blah

If we were to supply even more traffic to our site, we would reinforce our sales, I believe it is safe to make it clear that we all bought into that crap. On the surface, it seems reasonable. Judging that idea a little bit better under a miniscule lens, it does not hold up.

I can not begin to tell you precisely how frequently I have actually talked to company owners who had actually managed to drive massive quantities of visitors to their web sites. The issue was the traffic wasn't changing into sales. The elephant in the room at this juncture is, why isn't the traffic converting.

The absolute best starting point is by assesing the quality of traffic that's currently visiting your website. My mother instructed me to never presume. Well mom, please pardon me, I'm going to take the leap of faith and do so anyhow. I'm going to make the assumption that you have Google Analytics on your website which you can track where your traffic is originating.

If for some wierd reason you aren't currently tracking the traffic coming to your internet site, shame on you. The more that you understand about your traffic and what your internet site visitors are doing the better off you are going to be.

If you are currently tracking your traffic, begin by seeing where your traffic is coming from. If you find that the majority of traffic is coming from a PPC project that you are running for instance, you have 2 alternatives:

1. Check your PPC projects quality scores. If you happen to have a low score, modify your landing page.
2. You can also double check your keywords and modify them also.

At the close of the day it comes down to tracking your traffic, and making sure it is targeted. Split test different landing pages, headlines, products, and so on. It all comes down to testing, testing and more testing.

So get out there and start testing right now.
