Understanding How The T-Con D50ud1 In An LCD TV Works

By Dorothy Anderson

The old fashioned televisions are simple in their making. They merely have a tube, antennas, fuses, scanner, knob and of course neat wood that makes the while unit more presentable. Technological advancements have taken place in just about every industry and the technology used in making television sets is not an exception. Those in the business of repairing LCD televisions have a tough job to do, especially when addressing T-Con D50ud1 concerns.

When the back of a modern television set is opened, you will find a power supply module or board. This will be found on the right side of the unit. The module or board in question is the heaviest and largest of all other boards on the back of the unit. The function of this module is to convert the alternating current into direct current.

Direct current moves in one direction and this is what is used in the circuit of an LCD television. Based on your TV model, the inverter board and power supply module could be combined. In case the unit is not receiving power or it is only receiving irregular power, there is a good chance that the power supply board is the source of a concern.

The T-Con d50u-D1 also known as the timing control board is the smallest in size on your panel. It is situated at the top part of the panel ant is it covered using a shield. You can only find it in LCD televisions and they play the role of controlling the thin film transistor, circuit and TFT screen. When the T-con is damaged, your screen may show a white screen, double image, no display or either vertical or horizontal lines.

On the back side of a unit, you will find the inverter boards along the edges. Again, you will not find these boards if yours is not an LCD television. When low voltage direct current is supplied by the mode power supply, it is the inverter boards that convert this into high voltage alternate current. This gets the backlights powered. Any time your unit does not give a display or the lights are dim, these modules could be to blame.

The main module, the logic board or the digital board are all terms used to refer to the main board. However, most people will call it the motherboard. It is here that the audio, video and outputs are attached. The task of the motherboard is to convert signals from analog to digital. That said, the main board is to blame if you are having issues with color or sound.

The audio receiving module or the jackpack is not attached to the digital board. It is separate and it plays the role of transmitting sound signals to the amplifier, processor and then to speakers located either side of a TV. Sound problems and a concern allied with channels changing at random are often caused by a faulty jackpack.

Finding quality television accessories online is not an easy feat. There are numerous dealers and it takes research and patience to find one that can provide quality accessories. This is more so the case, when shopping for something as delicate as the d50u-D1. To be on the safe side, make sure you get a product guarantee.
